Project Details
Worldwide Environment is currently developing Integrated Solid Waste Management Center (ISWMC) near to the Jeram Sanitary Landfill. The ISWMC will be the best practical and sustainable answer to address all level of waste hierarchy in the State of Selangor as well as provide innovative and centralized solid waste management approach and technologies.
The first ISWMC at Jeram will consist of Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant, Composting Plant, Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for Construction and Demolition (C&D), Aenarobic Digester (AD) plant and Research and Development (R&D) facility.
The project will be able to address most of the solid waste generated at the State of Selangor upon its full completion in 2025.
Implemented in stages, the initial development works of ISWMC at Jeram have already begun with MRF C&D and Composting Plant are due to be completed by 2019. This will be followed by the first WTE Plant which are scheduled to be operational a few years later.
