Pada Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Ke-17/2023 yang berlangsung pada 22 Jun 2023 dan telah disahkan oleh Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri pada tarikh yang sama, cadangan semakan semula caj pelupusan (tipping fee) di Tapak Pelupusan Sanitari Jeram (TPSJ) di Kuala Selangor dan Tapak Pelupusan Sanitari Tanjung Duabelas (TPST12) di Kuala Langat telah dipertimbangkan dan diluluskan.

Berikut adalah keputusan yang telah diputuskan:

• Setuju dengan peningkatan kadar tipping fee daripada RM36.00/tan kepada RM43.00/tan bagi kedua-dua tapak pelupusan sanitari tersebut, berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Julai 2023.

• Sebarang perjanjian tambahan yang diperlukan akibat daripada peningkatan kadar tipping fee ini perlu dirujuk kepada Kamar Penasihat Undang-Undang Negeri.

• Setuju bahawa peningkatan lima (5) peratus akan dilaksanakan setiap tiga (3) tahun bagi memenuhi keperluan kontrak TPSJ yang telah ditandatangani. Bagaimanapun, peningkatan ini bagi kontrak TPST12 tertakluk kepada kemampuan kewangan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) dan kiraan terperinci yang akan dijalankan oleh Seksyen Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (UPEN) bersama-sama semua PBT yang terlibat.

Berdasarkan keputusan tersebut, pihak Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) telah mengambil tindakan yang selanjutnya bersesuaian dengan keputusan yang telah dibuat. Melalui semakan semula caj pelupusan (tipping fee), ianya dapat meningkatkan pendapatan divisyen Worldwide Environment dengan kenaikan sebanyak 19%.

At the MMKN Meeting No. 17/2023 held on June 22, 2023, and subsequently endorsed by the MMKN on the same date, the proposal for a review of the tipping fee at the Jeram Sanitary Landfill (TPSJ) in Kuala Selangor and the Tanjung Duabelas Sanitary Landfill (TPST12) in Kuala Langat was deliberated and approved.

The following decisions were reached:

• Agreement on increasing the tipping fee rate from RM36.00 per ton to RM43.00 per ton for both sanitary landfills, effective from 1^st July 2023.

• Any additional agreements necessitated by this tipping fee increase must be referred to the State Legal Advisory Chamber.

• Agreement that a five (5) percent increase will be implemented every three (3) years to meet the requirements of the signed TPSJ contract. However, this increase for the TPST12 contract is subject to the financial capabilities of the Local Authorities (PBT) and detailed calculations to be conducted by the Local Authority Section (UPEN) in collaboration with all involved PBTs.

Based on these decisions, Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) has taken appropriate subsequent actions in accordance with the decisions made. By revising the disposal charge (tipping fee), the Worldwide Environment division managed to boost its income by 19%.
