LAUNCHING OF CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
In moving the company forward with evolution of skills, it is essential to have a shared facility known as Centre of Excellence (CoE) to allow highly skilled individuals disseminate knowledge and to grow our own expertise especially in Solid Waste Management area. On 8th July 2022, Environment Division of Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) has launched the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Jeram Sanitary Landfill, Kuala Selangor. The ceremony was launched by YB Dato’ Haji Haris bin Kasim, Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor and followed by YBhg. Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, Group Chief Executive Officer, WHB as well as Tuan Haji Rosli Ismail, Chief Operating Officer Environment.
The main goals of CoE are to eliminate inefficiency and help move the organization to the next level of a maturity model by full filling standard of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Align to the goals, the mission and vision of CoE are to provide a convenience workspace for employee with the advancement of equipment and facilities and; to become centre of innovation and research studies by providing information and insights to enable the youths to design and implement green energy projects to nurture the environment.
Throughout the ceremony, the VIPs grab the chance to have a CoE tour which has been equipped by nine (9) main facilities component;
